Yes, no doubt about it. Peaches was my heart dog. It's funny, when I first went to see her I wasn't sure I wanted to take her home with me, because she was bigger than what I thought I wanted. But the people who were trying to rehome her, basically put her leash on her, handed me her favorite toy, and pushed us both out the door (okay I am exaggerating). However, Peaches was also my first dog, and I knew nothing about raising a dog. But Peaches was just a year old, and she knew everything she needed to know about being a dog, and teaching someone how to be a good dog mom. She was always one step ahead of me, and was very patiently and loving me bringing me along with her. If Peaches wasn't such wonderful first dog, there would most likely not have been a second or third dog. Yes, I have owned my heart pet, and I thank her for all that she shared with me every single day.
