Yes, no doubt about it. Peaches was my heart dog. It's funny, when I first went to see her I wasn't sure I wanted to take her home with me, because she was bigger than what I thought I wanted. But the people who were trying to rehome her, basically put her leash on her, handed me her favorite toy, and pushed us both out the door (okay I am exaggerating ). However, Peaches was also my first dog, and I knew nothing about raising a dog. But Peaches was just a year old, and she knew everything she needed to know about being a dog, and teaching someone how to be a good dog mom. She was always one step ahead of me, and was very patiently and loving me bringing me along with her. If Peaches wasn't such wonderful first dog, there would most likely not have been a second or third dog. Yes, I have owned my heart pet, and I thank her for all that she shared with me every single day.

Yes, Rosie was my heart dog. I was insanely in love with that girl. Everyone else pretty much thought she was a doofus. I was heartbroken when she was died at only 3 years old. (she ran out in front of a truck)

I would say that Star and Chow Chow have been my soul pets. I'm just so connected to both of them, it's like we can read each others minds. Star is my first dog. I'd owned at least a dozen cats before Chow Chow, but he was MY cat, with me for 17 years.

yes, Happy is my heart dog.

my heart bird was Taru, as much as I love Timo and Toivo, Taru was my baby, never had a bird quite like him before.

Kari is my first and only rabbit, but I would say she is my heart bunny..she's not like other bunnies, she is different in a way that is absolutly perfect for me.

Rook was my heart snake..I like Jiffy, but he does not hold a candle to Rook, she was so calm, so sweet. Jiffy slithers all over the place, Rook behaved more like a constricter, she would wrap herself around my arm and just stay there, I could go out places, to store etc.. she never got stressed..infact she LOVED watching what was going on, she would just sit quietly on my hand for hours at a time. I fed her by hand, she never shied and she never bit me by mistake, sometimes she would take her food and eat it in my hands etc..

I dunno if I have had a heart Gerbil yet..I have had so many over the years, some I liked more then others, but I dont think there is really any that have completly stood out for me yet..

I had my RB soul kitty Sambo. I picked him out the day he was born and visited him often until he could come home with me. He communicated with me somehow so I knew what he was thinking and he knew what I was thinking. We were very so close and always cuddeling and loving one another. My heart broke the day he died, I grieved for him like I never grieved for anybody or anything! I cried so much my eyes swelled up and were terriable looking. Couldn't eat or sleep for 3 days.. all I did was cry. I still miss him today. I have had cats since and loved them all but never had one that communicated with me like he did. We were just so in tuned with each other.

My cat, Oliver, is my heat and soul cat. My RB chinchilla, Lola, was my heart and soul chinchilla. Flutters, my RB dove, was my heart and soul bird.

She wasn't actually my dog, but I still think of her as my heart dog. She belonged to my Aunt, and her name was Sandy. She was a Collie x Shepherd. There wasn't a mean bone in her body. There was a time when I was 12 and had moved to Florida. At 15 I went up to visit family, and by this time she was arthritic, deaf and had cataracts, but when I walked in the front door it was like an old friend had finally come home. She didn't leave my side that trip and it was the last time I saw her. She went to the rainbow bridge a few months later.
