I had always wanted a Flamepoint and when I heard that a lady had one up for adoption, I had to go check him out. Starr was found when he was 1 day old by a policeman and then he was brought to a rescue group. Here's a picture of him when he was still a wee one.

When I first met him he was only 5 weeks old. He looked so tiny that I thought he was much younger.

Here are a few more pictures that I took when he was a bit older.

I first adopted him in early July but then he got ringworm so I took him back to his foster mom for treatment because she had others with it too. Here he is in my home in July.

I got him back towards the end of Aug. and here here's another picture of him then.

Here he is a little bit older.

As you can see I have way too many pictures of Starr.

    More pictures coming up.>>>>

As most of you know I adopted Pearl from K & L who lives in Arizona. She and her 3 brothers were found dumped in a feral cat park during the summer in weather over 100 degrees. I fell in love with her pictures and my grandmother was also named Pearl so this just seemed like it was meant to be.

Here's one of the first pictures that I saw of Pearl.

Here's she's having her first meal in her new home.

Here she is a bit older.

    Ziggy's coming up next.>>>>

I also adopted Ziggy Stardust from K & L in Arizona. She and her brother were also dumped in the same feral cat park during the summer. They ended up keeping her brother. When I first saw her picture, she reminded me of a baby Sky. I didn't know how right I really was until she grew up. Now I call them the twins.

    A bit older.

Both she and her tail kept growing and getting bushier and bushier.

    That's all folks.

Here is a little information, also this is what i went through with Charlie
    Medical Conditions
The most known medical condition of Manx cats is called Manx Syndrome. It is a gap between the vertebrae, after the pelvic bone. It is a fatal defect, which is falsely believed to only be caused by the Manx gene. However, Manx syndrome is a condition that affects all breeds of cats. When the spine develops without a tail, it may shorten the spine too much, causing the gap that leads to severe spinal defects.
Manx kittens may show signs of Manx Syndrome as early as four-weeks old or as late as four-months old. It is recommended not to take home a kitten that is less than four-months old. The symptoms of Manx Syndrome include difficulty walking and excretion dysfunction.
It is most often developed by the breeding of Rumpy cats. Breeders try to breed other Manx cats that have tails in cycles with Rumpy cats, to prevent a litter being born with Manx Syndrome.

They say it is more likely for a manx cat with a "Rumpy Tail" to have manx syndrome i dont know how true it is,But Cally has no tail at all,and she is perfectly fine. And Charlie has what they call a Rumpy and he was a very sick little guy. They say it has something to do with the breeding,But who knows Neither Charlies mother or father were Manx's they both had tails.

I love all of the pictures. It is so cute how they look almost the same when grown!

I have also never heard of Manx syndrome. So sad

    Thank you so much Michelle!
