I met a beautiful bloodhound last week here in Newton, sadly she was a rescued from an abusive home doggie, and is new to her family, so didn't trust anyone else but her owner. She'd wag her tail at me from behind her owner, but then get scared as a car went by, or another person approached. She is now in a home where she will get plenty of love and understanding, and he hoped that someday we will me again when she has regained some of her natural confidence.
