    Prayers for Andy

Katy, I don't come here as often as I'd like, but I just read your thread and had to reply. Years and years ago, I had a friend to whom this happened - and I've been paranoid on the subject ever since. It's a good paranoia - and one that all of us here will now share, for the safey of our kiddens.

You and Andy will be in my prayers; I personally have experienced the power of prayer, and, with so many good people here sending their petitions to the Creator, surely He will hear and answer.

Oh My God Katie!! I am just reading this post as I have been away from PT for like ages! I am praying long and hard the Andy makes a full recovery. I am sorry this happened to him....please do not blame yourself. This is every cat owner's fear. I am sure you are not the first person whose cat has escaped their sight and snuck in the dryer. I bet when Andy comes home he will stay clear of the laundry room!!

Get better soon Andy...lots of love, prayers, and (((HUGS))) from our end.

I am just seeing this thread.... and my heart goes out to you and Andy. I can only imagine what you must be feeling. Many, many prayers coming from me and the girls that Andy is soon back home with you, recuperating in your loving arms.

I'm just seeing the thread now, too. Oh my God, how very awful for both Andy and you. I feel so bad for you, because I can only imagine how I would feel in those circumstances.

What a blessing that you found him when you did and rushed him off to the vets right away. Prayers that Andy is soon back home with his loving, beloved Meowmie and makes a full recovery.

We are saying lots more prayers and sending along lots of healing energies and good wishes for the both of you.

Prayers are out there for your and your baby. But please don't be too hard on yourself. This was an accident. Having 11 cats, myself, in a small apt at that, I can understand how something like this could happen. We seem to always find a cat somewhere he/she shouldn't be. Or lose one...we went a day not missing one of the kids!

    UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!

I got the good news that I can take Andy home for the night! He is getting his xray and bloodwork done, then I can bring him home! They said that his temp is the same, heart rate still elevated but stable enough to get home.

They want him to try to come home and eat, since he is not eating.

I can not thank everyone enough for the prayers, well wishes, and shoulder to lean on. It mean SO much to me. I cant be any more grateful that I found my family in 2004 on a website. This whole horrible ordeal has been a bit easier, knowing that I have support.

In regards to donations, I normally would say absolutely not. But I cant rule that out yet, as I need to see my bill. I am sure that this is more than I thought, because of the extra xrays and bloodwork. I just need to figure it out. I feel so guilty about taking donations from my friends, esp since this is my own fault. Thank you for those who want to help.

BUT I want this to be good news, and I do feel it is good. Andy is coming HOME! Even if for a night, I could not be more hopeful. I will DEF take a few pictures once we are settled. I need to go buy some baby food and canned food, and some baby wipes etc.. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

    Thank you so much Michelle!

Woo Hoo!! I am so happy for you and Andy. Maybe being home will help his heartrate level out too. And all of the love you are going to shower him with will help him to a full recovery.

Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Oh that's such great news! I'm sure that Andy will do much better once he's home w/his mom. And since we're family, don't look receiving money as donations; consider it to be our contribution as family members.
    Blessings,
    Mary
