Well, I came to give an update. But I'm still trying to see through my tears after reading Katie's thread.
So I'll be brief and update more over the weekend. I saw him for about 5 minutes when I first got home. He seemed VERY happy to see me. It took a minute but I got him purring. Then he followed me while I read his paperwork from the vet and was rubbing against me, as best he could with the collar on.
I had to go feed the dogs and when I went back in he was hiding under the bed and would NOT come out. I kept talking to him telling him if he came out I'd take the collar off while I was with him for a break.
We went to dinner and when I got back he came out to see me again. I took his collar off and let him clean himself. I literally sat 6 inches from him while he cleaned and if he even got close to the incision I'd stop him. Oh, the looks he gave me...... I could only imagine what he was thinking.
OH, I gave him the medicine and he sat there like he was waiting for it. LOL Then I realized they only gave me enough for one dose.So I have to call tomorrow to get more. Unless they don't want him to have more.
The incision is about 4 to 5 inches long and has about 12 staples in it. So we have to go back in 10 - 14 days to remove them.
Ok, this is enough for now. More coming later and maybe even some pix.![]()
