It looks great! Speaking as a blue-eyed brunette myself, I have to say the darker color really brings out your eyes! And tell Mark not to worry - the one constant thing about hair is that it grows!

Love the color and the cut. My hair does the same thing at the nape of my neck. I could staple that cowlick, it doesn't matter. Your hairstyle is great on you. Tell Mark he doesn't have to wear it that way then. LOL
