    Not surprised, nor happy...

BUT lets just hope the he does even 1/4 of what he says he will... Then I will celebrate.

Same. I will support him as president, but I can't say that I'm happy about this outcome.

I agree. Obama is our president now, but he wasn't my choice.

I am thrilled and excited that Barack Obama has won! When my 18 month old pointed to Mr. Obama on the TV this morning I was proud to tell him that was our new president.

Personally I didn't vote for either Obama or McCain.

I figured last night when they said Obama won Ohio that he had won the election.

I'm just soooo glad it's finally over

As an outsider looking in, and not really knowing too much about American politics, it is what the majority of you wanted, and i can only hope that is the right choice, personally i think only good can come from this, being optimistic, and hoping for some great things from Obama.,but only time will tell.

The wet coast puts Obama over the top!!!!!!

How exciting. My honey and I had just flipped over to the Daily Show and they were the very first to announce that Obama would be our new president! How appropo.

I'm so very happy that this is a decisive victory - our country did not need the pain from the past two elections.

    WE DIDN'T EVEN NEED FLORIDA!

    (ok, I'll calm down now).

    True story,
this morning at work, a couple of men (african-american), were cleaning/vacunming the offices at work and we briefly mentioned the election today. Once I said I was voting for Obama, the joy and pride in their eyes was almost unmeasurabe.

Finally, the stain of the original founding of our country (with slavery intact) may finally start to heal.

Its the 21st century people - isn't it grand!

Watch your wallet. It's about to get lighter.

Looking at my latest 401K balance, I'd say the Bush years already took care of that quite nicely.
