All three pictures were taken using flash, but the eyes themselves are cropped out of *much* larger pictures - so it wasn't like I was shining the flash in their eyes.


My digital camera takes huge pictures (2272 x 1704), so there is still enough detail even after I cropped them. My cats don't particularly care for the flash either. But if I stand back and take a normal picture, they don't mind that much. I get a lot of closed eyes too.
