Oops look (n). The look Cassie gives me when she realizes that I know she coughed up a hair ball, or barfed on the rug, or left a dingle on the carpet, while I was gone. (Sorry, Meowm!)

Resolve moment (n). What happens after the Oops look. Named for Resolve, which does a good job of getting barf spots out of my rug. (Also known as a 409 moment if I'm out of Resolve!)

I'm going to bump up the Furminology Dictionary again because some of the newer PTers might not have seen it.

Richard, this has made my eyes leaky today: "Poof v. (pouf) The disapperance of a mistreated cat, usually by a savior looking to better the cat's life. "

I cannot take credit for this one. I saw it before, but Kuhio98 posted last so the credit goes there!

The feline is usually the side that initiates contact and picks the person as a new caretaker. A bonding experience.

EXACTLY! That's what happened when Pinot chose us - she reached out of the cage, literally tapped me on the shoulder, and said - "Excuse me, I'd like to live in Howard County, at your house, please!" ...and that was it!

Seven years ago, at the place where I worked, one of my supervisors (bless her heart) poofed my dear Mac from the neglectful home where he was living (it is really a sad story) and brought him to me because she said, "you look like you need a cat." The happiest day of my life was that day! I have had and loved my dear Macgyver, and he me, since that very day.

    I got this from a co-worker:

Scoop alert. You're on scoop alert when a) you hear kitty pawing in the litter pan or b) you walk in the room where the litter pan is, and you're greeted by... that smell.
