    Quick update:

    I just called her number and left a friendly message suggesting that it would be in the kitten's best interest to keep it until November 1st and then try and find it a home. I told her there are people out there who have bad intentions who are looking for free black cats this time of year. I hope she waits.

    I hope they wait, too, to adopt it out til after Nov. 1 but I get so annoyed when people say that they underestimated the amount of work a kitten would be. I hope this person doesn't ever have human babies. She's going to be in for a real shock if she does.
