Illogical, as expected, IMO.
My two cents worth ....
I can see the logic intended behind dividing the sporting and hound groups. Not sure it was necessary, but at least it shows some logic.
The working group has always baffled me, and continues to do so. Working at what, exactly? Guarding? What about the dalmatian? And a lot of the "working" dogs are actually herding dogs.
And the toy and companion groups ... oh wow. Makes NO sense. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a toy ... but a Bichon Frise or a French Bulldog is not? What? Why not just call them all companion dogs?
And why not call "Northern" group the "Spitz" group? Asian breeds are not "northern" ... but are spitz descendants, generally. But the shar pei??? I can see a team of shar pei running the Idiarod, eh? LMAO.

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien
