Hi Meow101... Samson is beautiful. I knew what he was right away too. My mom loves dobies and has a red one too. His name is Sundance...but, when I was living at home I coined the name Sunny-D for him. His the BIGGEST BABY!! Before my mom remarried it was just us 3 girls (my sister, mom and me) and Sunny-D. We live in AZ but in the "winter" it gets a tad cold at nights...sometimes even down to the 30's-40's and since dobies have such short hair he would get cold. He slept with my mom in the big king bed but he had to cuddle right next to her and he would shiver. So, we had to tuck him in under the covers every night so he wouldn't be cold. 95 pounds of absolute mush!!!

He is the greatest dog. I wish I could have him! Every time I go over to my mom's house he comes up to me and immediately starts this horrible whining... it makes my mom so mad! I don't even encourage it! It just proves he is a big baby.

You are very lucky to have Samson. He is gorgeous! Sunny-D doesn't have his ears clipped either and that is the way it should be! They just look so much better natural!

By the way, how old is Samson now? Sunny-D is 7 almost 8. Still young at heart though!

Oops...nevermind on the age thing. I just visited Samson's website. You got him on my sisters birthday! She turned 19 that year.
