Getting back to the original premise of this topic. Here is an OPINION piece from the Baltimore Sun.

To give McCain his due...I read this morning he has made some effort to dial down the violent reaction of some of the more rabid supporters by saying that Obama is a decent man with whom he has political differences. His running mate has not. And unfortunately, once the genie is out of the bottle it is hard to get it back in.

Sad, very sad.
