Thank you, it seems to be getting a little easier up until I go home and she's not there.

She was the loud mouth of the house. Anika would tell Sebastian (my big grey fuzzy guy) off a lot because he would run after Claudia (she was her baby pretty much even though Annie didn't give birth to her) and Ashley (even though she hissed a few times at Ashely she would still defend her from Sebastian).

It's just so quite at home without her there, I'm glad she's not suffering but it's just so weird not having her around, I keep seeing Athena (my other tiger cat I rescued from bellefonte earlier this year) and I have to do a double take thinking it's Anika, last night I had to catch myself because I could of sworn I saw Anika sitting next to the bathroom door and I was going to say come here Annie and then I realized that it was Athena sitting there.

I wrote a thing in the Cat Memorial section about how Anika adopted me and our life up until the end. You might want to read that another time because it gave me tears writing it last night but I needed to do it.

Thank you again,
Melissa

We had a cat once with what your Annie had. You absolutely did the right thing. We tried like heck to save our Tiger when he was jaundiced and sick with Pancreatitis and the vets all kept telling us back then that cats don't get pancreatitis. We even stupidly went so far as to put in a tummy tube trying to save our 8 year old boy. He died of a heart attack in our arms from all the stress his poor body was put through.

Know for sure in your heart that you did the most loving thing you could have ever possibly done for your girl and she I am sure is playing and free from pain but missing you too.
