Oh Kirsten, that is so sad, and such a shock to his family.![]()
Rest in Peace, Thomas! You were one of a kind and will always be remembered for your wonderful care for Knut.

"I don't know which weapons will be used in the third World war, but in the fourth, it will be sticks and stones" --- Albert Einstein.
That is so sad. He was an awesome parent to Knut.
I love Fenway, JoJo, Olivia and Nonnie!
I also read that he had been ill for a long time. I am glad that he had that opportunity to live with little Knut for a while.
The Sun has a very sad article on Knut:
Unbearable
Seems like he was already a very unhappy bear, greedy for attention and missing his keeper. And now he will never see him again.Really sad!

I hope Knut can be rehabilitated.
I know zoos don't have a lot of money - but I hope that some of the money that Knut brought in (it was considerable, according to one of the stories) will be used towards his care.
There is a scary pic of him snarling at a child (through glass, thank goodness).
Rehabilitation may be the only way to save his life.
RIP, Thomas.

Poor, poor Knut! I would be his friend!
Thank you Kirsten for sharing this with us!! I need to wander out of Cat Talk once in a while to catch up on things...Sleep softly, Thomas...your furry friend misses you...
