I was thinking about politics and religion, on their own and together.

Of course, we know of the community activists and governors and how they are being plucked from the bible and set in modern day Babylon.

The Left has this notion that BO is being crucified by the "governor".

Ponitus Pilate ended up washing his hands in the matter because he really didn't want to crucify Jesus Christ. PP was technically a prefect anyway.

IT was the Jews who were looking for their pound of flesh and moved PP into sentencing JC to death...

I saw Susan Sarandon aping the idea that BO is a communtiy activist and
Palin is a governor during a film clip.

Again, this shows how dumb people are when they make statements without researching the facts. LOOK IT UP.

The same people who are slamming the GOP for bringing religion into the presidential race have elevated their candidate to the position of a Jesus-like community activist and rightly so. JC was born, disappeared for 30 years then popped up on the scene, a relatively unknown entity, who rallied he masses with miracles and prayers. BO was born, showed up a few years later as a ..............a..........er.........Senator?

I have yet to see any modern day activist make people walk, give them their sight back or do the loaves and fishes thing at a rally.

As a matter of fact I tend to look at anyone with a promise of change with a rather jaundiced eye. And we all know they problems that Jesus had with the money changers at the temple.

This post is heavy into the Catholic religion so if you have any questions post them. I'll answer to the best of my ability..

    ------------------

Politics and religion can be discussed at any time with anyone, as long as they remain calm and don't take opinions as a personal slam. An opposing opinion will not make me think any less of a person. As a matter of fact, they make me think much harder about things.

I have shot myself in the foot many times and have no problem telling the 'doctor' how stupid I am.

    ---------

Going back to the women in politics.

I was thinking about how many voters stood behind a woman as the madame secreatary of the "House of Representin'" and the single digit approval rating she managed to sink Congress into.

No one will rail against the job she is doing-ah, the bimbette from Cah Lee Fuh Nee ah- and the Dems will look at any critique of her or the job she is doing as an anti-feminist rant and a slam against any and all women.

It is fun to watch people call a woman political candidate names, lie about her past and try to edit her public persona into something else.

You've seen the black clad woman pedaling the bike, with Toto in her basket, around the halls of Congress. SP ain't no Dorothy, But she don't run a room full of flying monkeys.

    That's friggin scary.

I saw a retraction from ABC and Charles Gibson about the Palin interview.
    In part?

"The ABC News department wishes to apologize on behalf of Charles Gibson for his inaccurate definition of the Bush Doctorin'.

He He was merely inquiring about Palin's grooming and dipilatory practices.
Gibson was reprimanded for his stupidity and will no longer be participating in any political news stories. He will be allowed to cover and interview trees and plants in future stories."

Time for theater of the mind.

Close your eyes and think.....Bush-Doctorin'. Bush Doctoring......Not Doctrine, DOCTORING!!!!

He was merely inquiring about Palin's grooming and dipilatory practices.

    Got it?

    -----------------------

I had to laugh about the Sara Palin email site getting hacked,

A woman news 'presenter' wanted to know if any of SP's emails were of the kind that would be harmful to the vice prez cnadidate.

Now, the same people who are so adamant about the government looking at THEIR EMAILS are having a field day looking into the SP inbox.

If that had happened to them they would be SCREAMING about privacy and looking toward the same government (the one they want to stay out of their emails) to enact some laws to keep their postings under wraps.

How dumb do you want to be?

You want to exchange chain emails, exchange pics of your ugly family, dirty racist jokes and stories to your friends about how you hate your SO, think the person that delivers the office mail is cute and the video clip of the stripper that pulls down a chest of drawers on her head.

You want the freedom to send it all across the planet but don't want anyone to laugh at the wrestling midget video you watch once a week? Then don't bother hitting the send button.

If it happens to you, you will cry for the sky to meet the earth and for a LAW TO BE PASSED to keep your boring Inbox outta sight.

What, getting an answer about it? Or Charles Gibson being banned to the local topiary beat at News 9, Your Local Station?

    Neither.

Unless Palin pulls a "Spears" we will never know!

I was just making light of CG's question and the way people have reacted to SPs reaction to the inquiry. Gibson sat down and injected his own bias/take to the interview.

Bush Doctrine? Like WTF called the bumbling pres and his questionable conclusions a "Doctrine"? I guess it's harder to pull questions out of your head when you get to Gibson's place in life.

That one must have caused a need for a tube of Prep H. He was stretching for it, all the way. It's way too enjoyable to watch everyone act and be stupid until the 4th of November.

Both sides got tweaked by the question. The Dems got aroused because she didn't know about "the doctrine" and the Reps were bothered by the invention of the term!

And Charlie snickers about the gotcha moment he invented that made everyone waste 3-4 days trying to figure out what the eff a Bush Doctrine
is-Since I thought it was a 'doctorin' question I saved myself some time.

    --------------------

Both of the FN bobos waste time traveleing to places they wil never visit again, as president or citizen, shaking hands with people looking to get a close look at a saviour, it's the ultimate political/seasonal holiday.

    Think about it.

It's like Christmas. You have fake 'blue and red' Santas visiting people and asking them what they want-doesn't mean they will get it. Politicians spend money like home owners looking for the ultimate outdoor decoration -a fake, feel good warnth that masks a nasty attitude for the rest of the year. You get taken by the plastic snowman or the fake reindeer standing on the lawn. And the LIGHTS!!!!

Political ads are like Christmas lights, They waste electricity, they show great promise then you get used to them and don't even bother to pay attention after a while, then you get tired of them and finally pull them down.

    The good part?
    You can't reuse political commercials!

When the day comes and your guy doesnt' get elected, It's like a run to the tree and finding out that someone saw your list then said, "Tough S, they will get what Santa says and can afford".

On Election day half of us will be ticked off, another group satisfied,

As citizens we get gifts but nothing like we wanted. Then there will be the rich people who can afford to give and get what ever their heart desires. They bought the office seat for a chump that will make it Christmas, for them, every day for four years.

I don't really bother with what ends up under the tree for me. I think I have what I need. What matters to me is the Message Of The Season.

After all, Isn't that what an Election is? Wishing and hoping, then ending up with something you didn't want, and can't return!

Maybe I do like Christmas better.

So it's the use of the term "Bush Doctrine" that riled you up? I've heard
it before. I read quite a lot on politics & have seen it used regularly.
