My day started out with a meeting at the Jobcenter, and I was in a bit of hurry to get there in time. I know Fister would be hiding when my guests came, so I took my time to brush and cuddle Fister before I left.
When I got down to get my bicycle, I relaised I’d forgotten my keys... ugh!I rang the doorbell to the people on the top foor, who I left a key with, but they were not in! I was pressed for time, so I walked across the churchyard to get a bus and managed to get there 5 min. late. So far so good!
I had a layered cake to go home and finish, but not knowing whether I could get in or not, I started to worry a bit, as my first guest would arrive soon after. I certainly didn’t want to pay a fortune for a locksmith and crawl up a ladder! Luckily the girl on the top floor was in, when I came back, so I had time to finish the cake.![]()
My first guest Ditte, who lives just around the corner, she’s 24 and the daughter of my best girlfriend. Then, when she left, my sister and BIL came, they stayed till 5PM, and my BIL even fixed two lamps for me that haven’t been working for months.
At four o’clock I got a phone call about a job I had applied for, they want to see me on monday.
Then my neighbor (the one who looked after Fister a few times) came back from work, and she came in. By that time I’d had enough tea and coffee, so we had a glass of wine - and some cake.
I realise I must be getting old, because the presents I got was mostly flowers and chocolade - but also some cash. All in all a nice day!
Oh btw, the cake didn't look exactly like the one on the picture, but they all loved it! Here is mine!
Thanks for all of your sweet birthday wishes.![]()
