My first thought is to at least TRY using the media.....if they WILL cover the story, tons of donations could come in fast & that will buy the dogs time. If the media refuse at first, you can leave your name in case they have a change of heart. Then if enough people call the local TV station & ask about this, maybe they will decide to cover it after all.
If you can add onto this email an address to send donations of money to, I will send it around to everyone I can. Even those of us living far away geographically can at least send money. And everyone who reads this, please call PetSmart & thank them (if you can put that phone # on there as well that would be great.)
One more idea is to get in touch with rescues who help specific breeds for each breed of dog you believe you recognized there. Can others reading this send email addresses for rescue groups who help the breeds mentioned in the description?
This is a tough situation but not impossible if enough people will get the word out & ask for foster care, money, & any other kind of help. Please don't give up on them.
