I've said it before and I will say it again... This line of thinking is very disturbing to me. Don't get me wrong, I love my pets and treat all animal life humanely. But to put an animals life on even par with a human life....
If you REALLY believe our lives are equal, you should set your pets free. Because to keep them in captivity, if they are your EQUAL, is akin to slavery is it not?
