It's hard to type for tears but let me say, I was simply blown away by your amazing, heartwarming story of survival, Scout. Your incredible courage and determination, your will to live is an inspiration to us all, sweetheart. And what a good patient you were! I'm a nurse and I can tell you, most humans recovering from heart related procedures/surgery are not nearly as cooperative as you! And your family's unconditional love, their unwavering devotion and dedication to doing all in their power to keep you alive, is the measure of devotion we all strive to meet when we say our companion animals are "family." I did have a warm chuckle though as I read how your Mom put the mattress on the floor so as to accommodate your desire to sleep with the humans, and they with you! Now that's a Mom "talking!" Have to admit, I've been there, too! I hope and pray this finds you well, Scout! It's truly been an honor getting to know you and your family, sweetheart. I wish for you the happiest Dog of the Day celebration, and many, many, many more carefree, healthy, love filled years with your amazing family! Much love, hugs and kisses to you precious Scout, our extra special, most deserving Sunday honoree!
(And a hug and kiss to Chase, too!)
