Kyle's the man, that's for sure! 17 wins this year...he rocks!
I've always liked drivers for their driving abilities...guess he's going to be my new favorite driver![]()

Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much
Remembering all the Rainbow Bridge Pets
Dear NASCAR.
Please forget about the "recording stars" who you invite to sing the National Anthem. A canned version of Kate Smith singing God Bless America is far better than a no talent hack who is a star of a made up game show/talent contest or a lead singer in a band I have never heard of.
Two days in a row they could not get the the line "O'er the land of the free" correct......
Thanks!
P.S.
Please make them bathe before they go on air?!?
I'm missing hearing Kasey's regular spotter and cousin, Kole, on the radio. Instead we have Keith, pit crew support. Rumor is that Kole's wife, Beckie, is having her baby. I miss Kole though.
On a related note, for the first time this year, raceview is actually working correctly showing my cars in the box in the middle of the screen like it is supposed to be instead of always on top of everything on the top left of my screen.
LOLOLOLOL!!!!!
That's the first time I've ever seen the caution lights CAUSE the debris caution!
As to the singers, I mute the Star Spangled Banner. I can't stand it when they sing it. (Though it's normally not as bad as the Marvin Gaye version we had at the convention in Vegas!)
The one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind wasn't king, he was stoned for seeing light.
The mountain that comes into view, with the clouds around the peak, is to the north of the track, During the winter it wears a really neat snow cap.
A little farther is the high desert and about 6-7 in the afternoon the winds really pick up, flow over that range and come flying down into Fontana. In Sept-Oct those winds will blow about 30 mph with some gusts as high as 50-60 mph.
Again, I am amazed that the weather was 'mild' compared to last year. The local papers were sayihg that attendance has gone down since they opened the track for the races. IT's a little bit about the weather and the fans not
wanting to travel so far out of the way-we are spoiled that most of the events in Lost Angeles are within a 20-25 mile range.

Although the Nat'l. Anthemn is a hard song to sing, I too dislike the 'funked/jazzed' up versions....
How's about "Living in America" instead?![]()
Sure don't know what happened to Tony last night, but wow, he dropped quick at the end of the race.
I wouldn't count Hendrick out...JJ is coming on,may give Kyle and Carl someone else to think about...
Next week should be fun...I'm rooting for David Ragen to get in. I think Kasey may be too far out, but ya never know!
I didn't finish my thought about the lights!
In Fontana after the first heavy winds of the season start, the first things that go are the arms that hold the signals and the signals themselves.
You can go to an intersection where they have the aluminum poles/arm that hold the signals over the lanes of traffic. You will see them sway back and forth from two to three feet. The passing drafts of the cars probably helped that sucker on to it's demise.
---------------
Good race. no real accidents, no problems and no KB in the winner's circle.
And why doesn't NASCAR let the 2nd and 3rd placers get up on stage, like some of the other racing leagues?![]()

Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all -
Together we stand
Divided we fall.
I laugh, therefore? I am.
No humans were hurt during the posting of this message.
