Samantha: "Sam" is Hebrew for "heard," as in "Samuel:" God heard. "Antha" is Greek for flower. God heard of a very special flower that He just had to have, and that very special flower was Samantha.

Samantha was so healthy over the years but in just the last couple of weeks her health and quality of life went downhill fast.

It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make to decide it was time for her to be pain free and we had the vet come out to our house rather than take her to the vet's office one last time.

I miss her so much! It was so hard to say goodbye to her.

I just can't stop crying now, I will have to post some photos of her later when I feel up to it.

Oh, what a shock to see this thread! Dear Samantha, you were my favorite PT senior kitty. I loved looking at the cute pictures your meowmie posted. You had a wonderful life and I wish all kitties could have the same. Play hard at the RB. We won't forget you sweetie.

When I read the title of this thread, my heart sank.

I can't express how sorry I am that Samantha had to cross to the RB. She was such a beautiful girl.

Zoe, I hope it is a comfort to you that she had a long life filled with love.

You have done SO much to make her last years comfortable and she knew how much you loved her. She will be missed by you and us all, but I know Samantha will always have a place in your heart and she will never be forgotten.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.
It's been a month now since Samantha went to the Rainbow Bridge.
I have finally been able to look at some of her photos from this summer.
She really showed her age in some of these last photos.
I still have more to go through but for now, here are some more photos of my sweet girl.

Pouting by the toilet because her favorite rug had to be washed and she couldn't lay on it.

Watching the grass grow in the backyard.

Walking around.

She would pace around a lot and get disoriented at times.

A beautiful double rainbow waiting for her.

I am sorry that I am just seeing this now.

How my heart broke when I saw your thread. I'm so, so sorry on the loss of your precious Samantha. You were so lucky to have her for 20 wonderful long years. If only we all could be so lucky to have our pets for so long.
I always enjoyed seeing her beautiful pictures.

Rest well dear girl and have fun up on the RB.

Thanks everyone.

I had time to go through some more of her photos from this summer.

She loved sniffing the fresh air by the back door.

She spent a lot of time on her favorite rug in the bathroom this summer.

Checking out the new door.

I smell fresh grass out there.

One of her better days.

Her cute panda markings.

Because she was deaf and blind this past year, she would walk along the walls when she went from room to room.

That's all the photos for now, I will post some more another day when I have a chance to go through them all.
I still miss her a lot.

I am so very sorry reading now about Samantha. What lovely photos of such a beautiful old girl still enjoying the comforts of her beloved home.

I'm sure Samantha was showing you that double rainbow herself to say "Here I am, Meowmie!"
