It's a poison to kill slugs - a nasty and slimy garden snail minus a shell. Unfortunately most poison I know of is also toxic to pets. I have them here but can't put out any poison because of my outdoor resident stray kitty. They come out at night and actually get into any dry cat food that might be left in the dish - they love it. So if I let the dogs out at night and they're on the house or porch - I arm myself with a spray bottle of salt water since that will kill them.
