Oh, two of my favorite colors of kitties!!
Higgins, I think your ear gives you character. You are one handsome grey guy!
And Lemon, you are so beautiful with your long black hair. LOVE it!!![]()
I'm curious how you two got your names.![]()

When Higgins and Lemon showed up, there was also a big cat with them that we thought was their mom. It turned out to be a neutered male. He was a Maine Coone and had beautiful green eyes. I usually give my animals people names. We were going to name him Peter, but my brother in law said he was too sophisticated for that name. So he became Mr. Jennings. Within a week or so, several more kittens showed up. I already had Morgan and Simone. I'd had a kitty named Olivia that had died with hepatitis a few months earlier. So needless to say with all the ones I already had and then this whole new crew showing up, I was running out of names. Higgins came from Magnum, PI. And Lemon would just lick and lick and lick until I couldn't stand it anymore. Somehow licking turned into Lemon. She's the only one of my pets without a person name. My mom says she's called Lemon because of her eyes. I know that was a long explanation for a boring story. In the upcoming posts you'll meet Jane, who is black without a white spot. She was just plain Jane. Then I have a Sydney. We weren't sure if she was male or female because she wouldn't let us close to her. After 7 years we still can't touch her. I was a big ALIAS fan. So she became Sydney after Sydney Bristow. If she'd been male it would have been Sidney. LOL In addtion to Morgan and the ones mentioned here, I also have Aroara, Juliet, Jose and Gary.
The first thing I thought of was Magnum PI when I read Higgins. LOL Loved that show!![]()
Thanks for the explanation, it's not boring at all. I love names and love how people come up with them.

Wow, what beautiful kitties they are! Higgins is my favourite, he looks quite goofy too, but I love short haired cats. His missing ear tip just gives him a little more personality. Lemon has such beautiful green eyes.
