Sandra answered the Purina question, and my vet told me the exact same thing hers did. He said no company spends any more money than Purina on research. I just know that Goldens have a terrible history of cancer, hip problems, etc. and I wanted to do anything possible to avoid that, so I have chosen to do the Flint River Ranch because it is completely natural food. But believe me, I know many dogs who have thrived on Purina, Pedigree, etc.

The bottom line is to study up, read the ingredient list and avoid the foods that have corn or grain as one of the top ingredients.
