Where is Bad Handersheim? I never heard about it until now
Between Hannover and Göttingen, it's a small town, close to the Harz (mountains in the middle of Germany).

Wow. A thousand year old town is just fascinating to me. I live in the American west, where towns are about a hundred years old.

Yes, you can really feel history everywhere when you walk through towns like that. My hometown is also very old (825 years), but not as old as Bad Gandersheim which was mentioned first in 852, as far as I know...Originally Posted by Twisterdog
