Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Just to reiterate: yes, we want to have a sense of expectancy and hope but don't dwell on it. Put the check away somewhere that you'll forget about it and don't talk about it w/anyone. Just put it out of your mind. That's releasing it so that it can do its work. If you hold it to yourself mentally by constantly dwelling on it or talking about it, it won't be released. In order for your ships to come in, you've got to send them out first.![]()

Yesterday at work, I went to put change in for a coke. A girl asked what I was going to select and when I told her, "Coke" she pointed at the dispenser and said, "look, one is already there!" So I saved $1.00!
Then later, when I put $.85 into the candy/snack machine for some Doritos, 4 bags fell out!
Today, I came home and had an email that I won a $5 amazon gift card from a little contest I entered. I used it already and bought some mp3 songs.(I love music!)

Actually, I forgot about this until the thread was bumped up. I'm still tapping my foot and waiting.....

This is only the 2nd time that I've done this but this time I haven't noticed anything good happening for me. If anything the last few weeks have been stressful because my cat Starr hasn't been doing well again.I'm hoping to turn things around though. Maybe next month I'll catch a break.

I can't deny that this has been a stressful month, especially w/Puddy being so sick, but the LOA isn't a charm to ward off bad luck; it's to make us more aware of moments of grace. If you'll scan back over this thread, you'll see what I mean. I did have extra vet bills this month but I also got a bonus in my check and my vet gave me some free subQ fluids and meds, etc. My neighbor cooked dinner and brought it to me, my girlfriend treated me to dinner out one night, I received an unexpected gift in the mail, all those things add up. I'll bet if you went back over this last month, you would discover moments of grace, too, especially someone as kind as you are.![]()
