Hi Oyster, we might be pretty close to each other. I am not far from the MO/AR border and my husband still has a home in the Harrison, AR area are you near there?

The parrots are very special that's for sure, what kind do you have?

Aww, what a great looking bird! Welcome to PT, Carole, I am Alyssa from NJ. I have 1 parakeet(birds are awesome aren't they?), 2 cory catfish and 1 hermit crab. My dog, Sassy recently passed away because of severe arthritis. Hope you enjoy PT!

Welcome to Pet Talk. I must admit that a couple of times while looking quickly I read your screen name as Imadoughnut. Which I like too. Hope you like it here at Pet Talk. I have two dogs: Ginger (an American Eskimo mix) and Taz (a chihuahua mix), both rescued pups. Look forward to seeing pics of your fur and feathered family.

Sandy, I didn't realize that Lacey was the one from the shelter, and I also didn't realize that she was the youngest. No wonder she is so spunky, I love it.

ETA: Wow, those mats are really nice!

Oyster.........I am closer to you than Harrison. I live just north of Gainesville which is about in the middle of the MO/AR border area.

My tiels are both boys and they are so entertaining we just crack up at them a million times a day. Their names are Flippy and Twisty..........

I believe I know where Gainesville is.. it isn't terribly far from West Plains, correct? The majority of my family lives there, so I find myself up in "that neck of the woods" at least once a month.

Its neat to have someone on the forum who is relatively close.

I have been to Harrison a time or two, but I live about 3 hours (just about) directly east. I'm closer to the boothill of MO. I do a ton of traveling throughout the area, though, as all of my family is in MO.

As for my birds, I have 2 Cockatiels, a Quaker, and an Indian Ringneck. I think I am safe with saying that they are some of the most amazing animals I have owned. Bingo is a beautiful B&G... definitely my favorite macaw breed, and my 1st choice if I get another parrot.
