    Hi Bauer !!!

    We couldn't be more impressed to read your well written story, Bauer. It makes us feel great to know that your Dad not only saved you, but, he has dedicated his life to you. Kudos to him for doing such a great job and giving you a wonderful life. We can't help but wonder what happened to your siblings but we will believe that they all have wonderful homes like you. Shame on your original owners!! You have to be one of the cutest boys we've ever seen. We love that gorgeous black coat and those white sockies you're wearing. You're a cutie patootie. Kisses to you and Heidi from us. Heidi sounds like a take charge kinda girl. We would love to see you two together Congrats on your big day today, Bauer, extraordinary DOTD!!! Happiness to all of you always!!!!

    Love, Daisy and Delilah in Sunny Florida

    Oh what a WONDERFUL story to read first thing this morning!!

    Bless you for saving him!
    I can only pray that the rest of the puppies found great homes as well.

    Congrats to you Bauer for being picked as today's dog of the day!
    Enjoy your special day and I hope it's filled with extra treats and belly rubs!

    Beautiful Bauer

    I can say without hesitation that Pitt Bull Terriers have always terrified me, but I think Bauer is an absolutely beautiful dog. I can tell that you love him very much, and it sounds like you have done a wonderful job with him, and your dedication to his socialization and training is really quite commendable! As the owner of 3 Chihuahuas, I know how hard it is to get people to look past the reputation (yappy, ankle-biters that look like rodents) and to see the dog itself. We work hard at socializing our dogs so that they do not live up to their reputation, and let me tell you, with a brain the size of a pea, it isn't easy!!

    Best to Bauer and congratulations on Dog of the Day.

    Bauer, you are a beautiful pup. I was so happy reading the story of how to came to be with your family. I only hope your siblings were as lucky as you.
    Congrats on being DOTD!!
    Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

    Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

    Bauer;

    WOW! Your human could be an ambassador for pet adoption and how to be the best pet pawrent in the world! He (I assume) sounds like a wonderful person and I am sooooo happy for you that he chose to save you!! AND, it sounds like you are giving lots back. What a beautiful story(The part about you and your parents. The irresponsible dog owners down the street...not so beautiful). Have a wonderful day as DOTD and continue to have a wonderful life!
