David - this kind of sucks, but if it's needed then you're lucky the doc's are doing it right away. Better to know all the facts.

Catty1 - How come if you have had a heart attack you can't take fish oil caps...thought omega's were great at reducing chance of heart attacks???

I don't know the actual reason, shepgirl...a friend of mine has had 2 heart attacks in the last 3 years (she is 43!) and says she can't take it.

However, I found this article which says the oil is OFTEN used after heart attacks in Europe, but not in North America.

David, during my hospitalization in 1996, I watched the Atlanta Olympics. That's how I remember what year each of them happened. I hope I don't get a chance to view the Bejiing Olympics from a hospital bed

I learned that you will soon love the Olympics because it's right there to watch around the clock. It really makes one appreciate it when they can't do anything else.
