I stand corrected on the "Viagra" question.

Again, the media feeds you the edited version of the question and answer that JM was asked earlier today.

The newsheads all made it sound like someone had asked the PRESUMPTIVE-who thought of that stupid phrase?-candidate, JM about why some health plans cover the costs of Viagra and not BCPs.

With no presentation of WHY Mac was left stumbling around for an answer, the question was left to my imagination-A scenario like the BC debacle, "Boxers or briefs, Mister President?".

It wasn't when I saw the total clip this afternoon.....about 4 hours after the news channels were showing a stuttering JM trying to find an answer.

IT was a fair question.

A few days ago the front of the El lay Daily News had a pic of BO and the Mayor of the town doing the 'fist bump'.

Because I know that no one on PT is "hood" or has street cred let me explain the other meaning of the fist bump.

On it's own, when one person makes that motion, it's an crude street signal meaning "procreation".

The FB is some kind of 'cool' greeting that you see on street corners and places where there is no formality.

I had to laugh when I saw the furor over the cover of the New Yorker.
You started the fist bump and the other problems for yourself, Yuk it up! The O's are looking for that little bit of cool that will endear them to everyman and everywoman.

When it shows up as "satire", the O's choke back any comments, instead leaving it to the handlers to be indignant. When you open up a door, always make sure you can get it closed, lest someone see where you hang out.

LOL, didn't people get upset when Mohammed was portrayed as a cartoon.
I think we have another uprising because a 'god' was depicted as a pen and ink caricature.....

Um, we have another person who wants to be prez.... Bob Barr deserted the Rep party and has been popping up hither and yon running as the Liberitarian canidate. You remember them, they are the Ross Perot people.
I'm so fed up with both parties he's starting to look better all the time.

Been watching the news again. I really need to stop that. It's so bad for my blood pressure. I can't understand why it's so hard for congress to grasp the fact that we need to drill for oil here and we need to look for alternative sources too. Ok, so if it takes 5 years or more to get the oil we'd better get off our behinds and start NOW!!! What would we do if our forgeign oil suppliers decide to cut the supply off for some reason?

Seriously, I worked with a guy that had quite a few sales reps in to our office.
If a good looking woman came in he'd look over at me and do the 'fist pump' as a little sign of "female appreciation"!

Ross Perot did not run on the Libertarian Party - in 1992 the Presidential candidate for the Libertarians was Andre Marrou.

Libertarians believe the answer to America's political problems is the same commitment to freedom that earned America its greatness: a free-market economy and the abundance and prosperity it brings; a dedication to civil liberties and personal freedom that marks this country above all others; and a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade as prescribed by America's founders.

My husband is a Libertarian. After watching Bob Barr on one of the Sunday talk shows, he doesn't look too bad to me. Certainly no worse than either of the other candidates.

I just did a search and he ran on Reform Party, not Libertarian.
All I know for sure, is after he ran, we can no longer be Independents here in KS.
When I had to re-register after I moved, I could no longer be an Independent. This was in 2006. Now I am Unafiliated!
(i still consider myself as an independent no matter what my voter registeration card says)
