I currently feed Canidae and Diamond... Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice is not a bad food... no corn, wheat, soy or by-products..

For now we'll see what the change in ingredients with Canidae does with my dogs... currently I'm not to worried about it.. but my dogs don't have real sensitive stomachs either..

I would feed Diamond well before I'd consider bil-jac.... I think its horrible food. You can get a bag of Diamond Naturals for about $25 for a 40lb bag at tractor supply company here in my town.... many of the other diamond forumulas I wouldn't feed (diamond maintance, diamond premium adult, diamond hi-energy..etc..etc.) but ingredients.. but the Diamond Naturals line isn't bad..
If you're gonna breed Collies, don't you forget to breed in the brains and common sense. Without that you won't have a Collie, you'll have just another dog.

Do you have a local source for Innova? That's what I feed Jasper, and it's rather hard to come by but worth an extra trip IMO.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

Read a couple of topics about this at other forums and have decided that I'm going to keep feeding this food since I'm assuming I've already bought a bag of the "new" formula (I had noticed that our bags now are like 35 or 37lbs instead of the 40lbs I've bought in the past), but didn't think anything about looking at ingredients, I'd just thought they'd changed the packaging but kept the price the same. Anyway, my dogs seem to be doing fine IF this is the new formula, otherwise I really can't afford anything else. This is already pushing it as it is... my hubby stands behind my decisions in what foods to feed the dogs but with me in school and not working and hubby working with his parents, our income is 1/4 of what it was six months ago, and with gas prices lately, the 60 mile round-trip to school daily is really hurting us financially... so I can't really afford to switch to something "better", I can't afford to switch to a 30lb bag of food for $60 (yeah, I've done some pricing on other brands).

So does anyone know of any foods in the Canidae price range IF I felt I needed to switch?? I'm currently paying like ~$40 for a 35lb bag of food now, give or take.

EDIT: Considered Innova, but again it's kind of expensive and I read they are manufactured by Menu Foods, which is a no-go for me. If anyone can disprove this please do as I would like to get this as an alternative if I can find it at a decent price in my area.

EDIT: Ah nevermind, called around a few places, Innova is on average $53.79 for a 33lb bag... nooo thank you, I'll stick to my $35-$40 bag of Canidae ><
