    Sherman's 1st RB anniversary

July 10.... one whole year since we lost our beloved Sherman.
I've posted a video HERE on our blog, with some happy memories of dear sweet Shermie. It was really hard gathering all his pictures, he should still be here. Life is just not fair.

I've struggled over his passing all year, and Star has never quite been the same. She is still mourning in her own quiet way. Thankfully, Jack has brought a great deal of love and fun into our lives, and tonight JoJoe remarked that he can see a lot of Sherman in Jack, too. We may have lost one goofy boy, but we've gained another goofy boy who is managing to fill the hole in our hearts.

Sherman, we miss you so much, sweetheart. Be well. ((((hugs)))))

Still doesn't seem possible he's not here with us ...

It's a little consolation knowing he has his friends, Snoopy, Bowser, and the other PT FurAngels,
with him at The Bridge. May they all Rest In Eternal Peace ... IF they have tyme ~
when they're not all *rippin* & *tearing up* God's front yard.

I know how hard that first anniversary can be. I'm glad Jack is helping to cheer you up some. It's funny. Since I got Dasher, he's doing several things that Duke used to do that he didn't do originally. It's kind of comforting. I hope Sherman can send you some signs to let you know he's not really gone, just on another plane. Joyous will be the day when we're all reunited.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Wonderful video!! Sherman and Star looked like soulmates, for sure! I'm glad you and Star have Jack to help fill the void but we all know that Sherman will always hold that special place in your hearts

I sure hope that Sherman and Stryker have found eachother and are playing and AROOoooooooing together in husky harmony.

    les.... {{{HUGS}}}}
My eyes were already leaking, then I saw the picture from the Husky Hike.
Oh Pat, you're right, it's NOT fair that he's not here.

He was far too young to be taken.

    Miss you like crazy Shermie!

Wow, I can't believe it's been a year already. Sherman is greatly missed, even by those who weren't fortunate enough to meet him in person.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

He'll like that! thanks for the nice comments. I fixed the video (the sound was not working right, and took out some blurry pics). Working on it was hard last night, but today, I'm really focusing on how much fun Sherman & Star had together. It makes me happy to see the big grins on their faces.

Val - last night I'm pretty sure my big golden boy came by & licked my face, and he hung around for a few minutes. I could sense that he is really okay now. (Nancy told me that he was quite upset that he had to leave, and I could tell he was very sad after he crossed.) I know he'll be waiting right there for Star. In the meanwhile, he has lots of his PT friends to hang out with.

This expresses my thoughts as well. We miss you Sherman ,but I know that
you see the "whole" of things much clearer than we on earth can see.

Hugs to Star, Pat & JoJo. ((hugs)))
