If the vet is willing to testify that the animal was injured with the owner's knowledge (whether the wounds were inflicted directly or indirectly by the owner him/herself) and denied the animal emergency medical care, therefore furthering his injuries, charges CAN be made against the owner, IF the vet is willing to comply and provide a medical report on her findings.

Sadly, in most abuse cases, too often the vets don't want to "get involved" and eventhough they know the animal was abused or neglected, when approached by law enforcement officials they refuse to get involved, so I really hope this vet sticks by her word!!!

Well i went to the vets today to get some shampoo for hunter so it will make his coat shinny and to learn how to trim his nails and i also got an update on whats going on with dudleys owner..

She is going into court to file charges on him on monday and since she know's someone in the court system she said that she might be able have him see a judge sooner then normal and she is willing to testify against him and so am i since i was there when it happened... Hunter keeps looking over to where dudley lived and crying i think that he know's his best friend is gone.. I know he is just a dog but they can sense these sorta thing's...

I miss the little guy when he would see me or hubby outside he would just come running like a mad man over to us and giveing kisses like crazy...

Good for your vet. Dudley just 'had' to have some kind of symptoms with bleeding and broken ribs, wouldn't you think? This person doesn't need anymore pets.

I will never believe this as long as I live. I have seen too many times where my dog/s have come to me when I'm in pain or someone I love is in pain they come to them for comfort. so Yes I'm sure as well, just as you that Hunter knows his friend is gone, and it may even be the Dudley's spirit comes to visit Hunter.
