Oh, Pookey, you are beautiful! Off to a rough start in life but now you are happy, healthy and in command. Happy Cat of the Day!

"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas
"We consume our tomorrows fretting about our yesterdays." -- Persius, first century Roman poet

When I saw the picture, I had this overwhelming urge to sing that song that was so popular back in the late 1950's:
"Pookey, Pookey, lend me your comb!"
But then I figured that any priceless, $5.00 cat did not need to have another trite fool asking for his comb.
I bet dozens of people ask this courageous survivor if they can borrow his comb everyday.
It must get very tiring.
So, Pookey, I will not ask to borrow your comb.

Pookey, you sure are a very handsome cat and I'm so glad that your meowmie adopted you and weaned you back to health. I agree that you were the best $5 that she's ever spent.Congrats on being COTD and finding the purrfect loving and caring forever home too.

Hello Handsome! I see a little sparkle in your eyes in this photo, like you are looking for some interesting activity next. He hee, what a great kitty you are! Yes, barn cats don't always have the best start in life. Maybe the woman who had you and the other kitties was doing the best she could in getting all of you out of the barn and into proper homes?
And look at the "proper" home you got yourself to! Someone to give neck snuggles and shoulder rides anytime you demand such! Isn't that what all good humans are for, after all?
Dear one, I am very happy to congratulate you as our Cat of the Day! MWAH!
