Oh Lordy, Catty1, I'm still trying to remember which Province is where - from west to east. I had one of those little memory clues to help me remember, but then forgot what it was. Thanks anyway for the history. I find it interesting even though I probably won't retain much.

Candace, thank you for the history lesson. I enjoyed learning more about our neighbors and friends to the north (though Windsor is actually due SOUTH of Detroit).
Along the line of Canadian fireworks celebrations (sort of), here's an interesting article from last Friday's New York Times (which I only just saw today).
