This is just a few reasons why I'm a big fan of older movies and have quite an extensive collection of DVD's and VHS tapes I started collecting when TV went downhill in the 80's.

Most shows are way to racy, have too many childish bodily function jokes, awful language and honestly just aren't what I'd call entertainemnt.

I don't think the kids doing whatever they want on TV is causing the problems though. I've seen WAY too many kids like this in real life, long before it was common place on TV, doing the same thing. IMHO it all comes down to when spanking was made basically a bad thing and now kids lord it over every adult with threats of 'touch me and I'll call the police/social services'.

I can totally understand your frustration with movies/tv though that's for sure.
