The three vets have talked and the conclusion is what I have already posted - to do anything else may cut down on whatever time he has left - and there is no saying how long this thing has been growing so he may live longer than we think. There is no way they can tell me what symptoms we might see since there are many that could show up. They do feel it is attached to the kidney and for him to even survive kidney surgery is a big if. He is by no means showing any signs of pain or illness as Kimmy can verify from the dog park visit. He seems to sleep a little more but don't we all when we get older.

I am content with this decision - I really feel he would not make it through any more aggressive treatments. He is such a sweet, quiet boy that I just want him to spend the rest of his time that way. He still likes to take walks, he still is eating and drinking well, he loves going to the dog park. Thanks again for all the prayers and assuredly we still need them. I am grateful to be a part of this board so I can get input and empathy when it is needed. PT rocks!

I support your decision 200%. I am so glad you are a peace with the
decision. Big hugs to Jack & I'm hoping he surprises us all by enjoying his
life for a long, long time yet. The fact that he shows no other signs of
    illness is a blessing.

Thanks for keeping us updated. It sounds like absolutely the right decision. Give him another kiss on that curly noggin from me, okay?
