Thanks for all the positive thoughts and affirmations! I believe they will help. I don't want to view any of this as sad because this really is a second chance to spend time with him and I am so grateful.
He is much perkier this morning and went ballistic on the cat tree as soon as he woke up so that was great to see! He had a big breakfast of canned salmon and asked for seconds which I gave him.
The drooling has stopped and the coughing spells seemed to have stopped as well. He is still mr. wobbly legs but it usually takes him 2 or 3 days to recover from the ordeal of surgery.
He is on Prednisilone two times a day for inflammation that will tapered off after 3 days. Thankfully he eats that mixed into his food. I won't start the Transfer Factor for another day or so to make sure that he isn't gagging or coughing. The cream cheese can get a bit sticky in his throat and I don't want to add to that.
Candace, you mentioned some stinky cat salmon. That sounds like a good idea, do you know of a particular brand? I think Fancy Feast has a salmon that I could try and sneak some Transfer Factor into.
Here are two pics and one video that I took about an hour ago of Tiger laying in his donut bed on our deck. Paddy is with him and they seem pretty comfortable enjoying the morning sunshine.
