You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...Best Fireman in da House´10
dedicated to the kindest, loveliest and always helpful man that one would be honored and proud to know........R.I.P. Dear Phred
Thanks guys. I'll be calling around at work to see if I can take some other people's shifts. Also, my mom's going to dig out her old sewing machine and show me how to use it. There are several costumes that I want to make.
I went through the ceremony but I don't get my diploma until I finish one pesky little summer school course. I need a gym credit so I'm going to be an assistant to my step-father, who is the fencing coach at another local high school.
From my parents, I received entry into my very first real horse show, something I've wanted to do since I started riding back in 2001. I'll be riding my trainer's horse. For my graduation "party" some family and a close friend went to Arlington Racecourse, it was great, I have pictures I should post.
From the rest of my family I received checks, which will probably go towards another show, a road trip, or will be saved.
In August I am either going to Mackinac Island with my family, or to Terminus (or at least Wrock out Chicago) I family usually gathers at the Grand Hotel about once every 10 years, I can't really remember the last time since I was so young. Unfortunately I found out about Terminus in September 2007 and my grandparents had already made the reservations. We still don't know what I'll be doing.
In mid- late August I am packing up and moving to Ames, Iowa. My dad and step-mom have a two-flat and only the animals live in the first floor apartment, so that one will be mine. I'll be attending DMACC part time and working for at least a year. I'm going to try and become a working student at a barn, meaning I work in exchange for free lessons on nice horses. After that my options are to stay for another, or transfer to ISU for an undergraduate degree in either Animal Genetics or Zoology, or take a year at University of Alaska at Fairbanks which I have actually filled out an application for but not sent in. I am very interested in their Wildlife Biology and Alaska Native Studies.
I bet that was a little more than you cared to know!
