Another JGR dominated weekend! I was more happy with Denny's win on Saturday, then Kyle's on Sunday. Man I wish Tony could get a win!!

Is it bad that I have been routing for the Bif to win one?

It's Thursday Morning ... Where's the PT / Eldora Gang?

Where's Pet Talk's Eldora Speedway Gang??

Havin trouble seeing the keyboard for all the DIRT in your eyes?

How's Staci holding up with all the Flyin MUDD?

Did all the Dirt Trackers have a *PHUNN* Tyme last night?

Did ole TONY actually *win* it?

Drive CARFULLY ~ those of you who have to return home tonight!

Well, my crew got in at 2:00 am. They had a great time! Tony did win so they were all happy! I think they said 23,000 people were there this time - that's a lot of people! I guess things were touch and go for awhile - at noon they were talking about cancelling and then at 1:00 they decided it was a go! Mark, Anna and Staci ate the hamburgers and stuff at home since it was still raining in Piqua so the tailgate party was a bust! Ralph, Amy and Carl bought food at the track. Hmmmm, Amy made a bunch of cookies to take - I wonder what happened to them - they were really awesome - one was a coconut, pecan one. Oh, you probably wanted to know more about the race but that's about all I can tell you. Amy and Ralph spent the rest of the night with us - they had brought the dogs to spend time with us so they wouldn't be home so long alone - although I think her 3 thought it more of a punishment with 2 kids and that dumb little animal (Tucker) chasing them around.

I believe they said it didn't rain anymore after 1:00 pm. Carl got a kick out of the fact that Tony Stewart was on a tractor trying to get the track ready and later a truck. Didn't think to ask how many pictures they took. Guess someone will get on after they wake up to post more.

So, I was uploading the pictures from Eldora, and went to check email while I was waiting. I had an email from a local radio station that I won tickets to Pinks All Out to be run in Norwalk,Ohio on Saturday. I'll be going to Cedar Point that day, so I can't use them, but we'll find someone. And if not, I'll taake the tickts along and maybe make a short drive down To Norwalk (not too far from Sandusky) and catch the finals.

So, enter those online contents! People do win (more then once even!)

Anyway, here are the pictures from Eldora

I'm sorry guys, but if you would have seen all the rain we got here (our front and back yard were flooded) you would have stayed home too! We were afraid we'd get there and sink up in the mud. And hey, we did call and tell you to come here to eat We all really missed the tailgaiting, it's one of my favorite parts of the race.

We were super happy that they didn't call the race off. By the way it looked here in Piqua, we were sure they would. So glad to get there and see the track wasn't under water!

We had a blast! Well except when we first got there and there was poo right under my seat
Didn't think I was going to have to clean any of that up at the track!

And Amy...we were happy...see (Well at least mom and I were!)

I'd post my pictures too, but they pretty much look like Amy's...lol!
But if you'd like to see, they're here...

Looking forward to doing it again next year, but with NO rain!

    ok here's my 40 pics -
I took more but like I said most were DIRT - and some of Anna's dogs today.

I am not sure anyone mentioned this - if so sorry - but they announced that about a month ago Kasey Kahne didn't have anything to do one weekend so he came down and race mini-sprint cars at the Speedway! I just think that is pretty cool. I bet those people at that race were happily surprised!

Totally understand!! We have been quiet lucky up in Toledo the past week. Not nearly the rain and storms that have been going through EVERYWHERE south of us! I guess there was just never a doubt in my mind they would race!

Hearing all the talk at the track and reading the reports later they were really close to canceling...even after we were on the road. I never her thought to check the website before we left, because I knew the skies would clear and it would happen. (And yes, those "definite" feelings have bit me the butt before! Glad they didn't this time!)

Anna, I didn't mean anything by what I posted. It was just weird the different perspectives the crew up here got with the weather having cleared up versus the ones you guys had seeing all the rain. And you do notice that I don't go to these things, chance of rain, noise, dirt (possibly mud) aren't really my things. We used to go tent camping when the kids were small and nothing was more upsetting than getting all that stuff together and then have it rain. I think the last two times we went we were rained out. The kids used to sleep in separate tents with their friends. No rain was expected but an unexpected storm hit - the girls didn't get their windows closed so everything got soaked! The other time it rained so hard that there was a small (very small) river flowing through our campsite! No not wanting to get all that stuff together and not getting to use it would have definitely been my call too!
