    Looks like a BIG "bash" this time - and I can tell everyone had fun! What a surprize that Slick and Gini turned up too!!

    I loved seeíng the pictures everyone posted.

    Well, here I am in Dayton, OH.

    I just saw the shuttle pull away and on the way to the airport....carrying Gini. If all goes well, she should be home by dinnertime.

    My shuttle to the airport leaves in about an hour. I'm sad and I'm happy. It's been a wonderful trip....one that I'll never regret.

    Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome and it was so nice to meet all of you. I did get some pictures but I'm sure they aren't as nice as the ones already posted.

    I won't get home until late so will post more tomorrow.

    Boy, what a fantastic Picnic

    We arrived home at 8PM last night, all of us totally tuckered out. No one had trouble sleeping!

    The cats were glad to see us--seems the sitter forgot to give them water!!!

    I really appreciate the efforts of the people who arranged the picnic. A special "Thank you" goes to Phred and Staci. We all are grateful to Paul and Karen who started this site.

    It was great to meet so many more Pet Talkers. I hope I can remember who's who

    Gini and Slick were a wonderful surprise. I hope their trips home are uneventful. Maybe they will come back again next year.

    I didn't take any pictures, but I certainly am enjoying all of yours.

    Unfortunately I actually have to do some work today, but I'll surely find time to look at all the pictures I can.

    It was a truly unforgetable week end.

    Incredibly wonderful time. Best cuppala days in ages! Wally & I (he's a buddy, not a hubby or sig other) made it back to Maryland HOURS after leaving the Park about 2 pm on Monday, it took about 9 hours but encounted some bad storms along the way. Looooong day but wouldn't have missed a second of it. My 4 dawgs were fasinated by the way we smelled walking in the door... bratwurst, burgers, a special mixed stew type thing Mary concocted (wow Mary... please send the recipe) and smells of DAWGS, DAWGS, DAWG DROOL (mostly thanks to Bon ) and assorted others. Punk, Rascal, Mary, Lucy and Poon want to give special thanks to Auntie Slick for the care package of home made treats. Milky bones will never be the same Thanks to all and especially to our Dawg Godfather Phred for all his efforts

    OH, Yeah!!

    I'm an old *Shrimper* frum way back! (At least 5 years or so. )

    I'd starved myself for the annual Fire Dept Christmas Dinner ...
    tummy was *rumblin* for hours ...

    Snowed like it was the Last Blizard befoe the End ...
    Dinner was LATE arriving.

    And the ONLY thing in the Station was the early arriving Shrimp Plates!
    < Deep Breath > and LOTS of "Cocktail Sauce" helped 'em go down;
    a beer chaser kept 'em there ...

    Only took me about a half a dozen to notice everyone ELSE had lil TAILS left onna plate ...
    My Plate had no TAILS ... was I doing sumpin wrong?

    I suddenly discovered the Lil Dead Phish didn't taste nearly so vile iffin ya didn't eat the TAILS!
    Trial & Error (and some careful observing) taught me where the dividing line was between
    the edible part and the Tail ... another Beer and I was ready to go for another plateful.

    So YES, I can do "Shrimp" if hungry enough or have a need to be "polite" ...
    I just thought I'd sharpen my Shrimpin Skills on Sunday.
    (Thank Heaven for KetchUp! I was gonna try BBQ Sauce, too; but ran outa room.)

    Oh Phred!!!! You are so funny!!!
    Sounds like you all had a blast. I must say, living over here in Australia, I look forward to your get-together as much as you all do. I love to see the pics of everyone, and the furkids.

    Thanks so much for all the posts.
    Will keep on checking for more pics.

    Lightbulb The new Pet Talm Memorial Trees at Findlay ...

    Introducing the latest Pet Talk Memorial at the Findlay Dawg Park >>>

    Our Three new Memorial Trees planted near the center fence and adjacent to
    the proposed New mini-Pavilion scheduled for later this year.

    First the Plan >>>

    The NEW "Inside Pavilion" is the dark, rectangular box on the center fence
    between the Time Out Cage and New Tree # 2.
    It's marked "Proposed Shelter" on the drawing.

    The Three New Pet Talk Memorial Trees are grouped around the Pavilion and Marked >>>

    New Tree #1 is the Little Buckeye Tree;
    New Tree #2 is the "Tulip Tree" to the north, near the center fence;
    New Tree #3 is the (I forgot it's Name Tree), in the East Yard;
    OLD Tree #4 is just marked for reference - it's between the Bulletin Board and the Cage.

    The Little Dawgs (Bowser and Snoopy) claimed the Lil Buckeye Tree and settled in
    under it's canopy. (Rumor hazit that a certain Tux Kat named Boots snuck in with 'em!)

    Plenty of room for other Pet Talk Furry Angels to settle in with the Three Boys!
    ------------------------------------------------------------

    The REST of the Story >>>

    Details on the inside mini-Pavilion >>>

    Major Features listed on the Right Side of the Drawing:
    * Size = 12' x 20'
    * Wood Framed with Shingled Roof
    * Gravel Floor
    * Room for two Picnic Tables
    * Construction planned for Fall, 2008

    Tree #2 ~

    #2 is the Tallest of the three, a "Tulip Tree", it's the most northerly of the
    three. Tree #4 (not one of ours) is to the left of the person carrying the pooh bag;
    Tree #1, the Buckeye Tree, is the nearest tree to the distant right.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    PT Tree #1 - the Buckeye Tree ...
    The Baby of the group - centered in this picture >>>

    Tree #1 - the lil Buckeye Tree >>>

    Looking north toward The Woods and the Center Fence;
    taken from near the Bulletin Board.

    The Buckeye's "Tag" >>>

    The pretty but (I still forget it's Name Tree) - #3 of our PT Threesome -
    shading the Time Out Cage in the East Yard >>>

    Camera east of the entrance gates, looking north.
    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Tree #3 in the East Yard; Time Out Cage in the foreground >>>

    In the foreground, The Bulletin Board, Old Tree #4, and the Time Out Cage frame
    PT #1 (the Buckeye) and PT #2, the Tulip Tree.

    Looking north-west, Old Tree #4 is close in, New PT Tree #1 is to the right.
