    Thank you all!

He crawled from the under the bed to under the cupboard a few hours ago, but when I came with some yummy Gourmet wet food I had bought in England, he wiggled himself out and ate it all - OK, it was just half a small can, but I bet he must be hungry.

An hour later, I put a few dry treats for him, very small ones, and I stayed to watch him eat them. It's now 8.30 PM and he still hasn't been drinking. A little while ago, he managed to walk a little bit, in a fairly straight line. He stopped every two meters to rest. One time I carried him to his litterbox, but he was not interested, he walked away. When I did the dishes, he came wandering into the kitchen and miawed for the first time - he even looked at the door! I have now lifted him onto my bed again, so I'll go back and shower him with more kisses.

I feel pretty exhausted, so the pics or video will have to wait untl tomorrow.

I think the eating is the most important thing- he will take all the liquid from the wet food and drink later.
Good to hear he's looking at the door again

Stir in a bit of warm water to the wet food, til he is drinking water again. Wonderful that he is home safe!

After anesthesia Evie walked around like a little drunk she was so tipsy but of course, we tried not to laugh too hard, that is

Once she got her appetite back she actually ate more than she should have in the first day but all was well

I'm so glad the Fister man is home with his mommy and getting lots of cuddles By tommorrow he will be feeling so much better and so will you

After he finished his Gourmet food, I did put some water in the bowl, but at that time, he was not interested. Then, an hour ago, I sat by him on the bed with a glass of water and practically dipped his nose in it - and he drank some. He is also able to shift position now, wihout falling over. He can even lay in a tortellini position now! So in a few hours, he'll probably wander out to his litterbox - and then start miawing all night.

So, I have transferred the pictures....

I’ll start with a sweet picture of him from the evening before, sitting next to the keyboard - having no clue what hell he had to go through yesterday.

Then, this is an hour before the dreaded box - he does look slightly suspicious, and he did run under the bed before I got him, so I had to chase him out in the kitchen, where my friend was ready to close the door.

Now, this is my poor boy after he came back, he looks so patetic. He was trying to get his spot on my bed and I put him there right after these pictures.

I felt so bad seeing him like this. The vet had given him an extra shot to wake up quicker, but I don’t think it helped much.

Around 8.00 PM I gave him a little plate of some yummy food, that was after I had put him on the floor - I was afraid he would try to jump down while I was in the kitchen.

So here’s Fister eating - he had quite an appetite and managed very well.

A video clip in next post....
