Unfortunately, I over-think everything. Whenever I hear that question my answer is always, was I trying to fill it up or empty it out. It is halfway to whichever direction I was going.
This is exactly what I was thinking. If I am filling the glass up it is half full, if I'm drinking it, it is half empty.
