Mary...all I can think of is if there is a dry cat food she can handle that she is not eating right now - to use it as a treat.
I knew an owner who used the regular cat food for treats! The kitties still loved it and thought it was special.![]()

Our Riley is allergic to the Greenies!!! Like Catty1 said, I use regular cat food as treats after they are groomed!!! The Clan LOVES that!!! You have a good parent that is looking out for your health, Smudge!!!
Nine is Fine!!
I used to buy Hills T/D dental dry food and give it as treats as well. The kibbles are really big (dog food sized almost) and they do a great job of knocking tarter off teeth because it takes cats a few good chews to crunch it up. I stopped giving it though because a few of my cats have other food related issues and I have to buy special foods for their special needs.
Medi-Cal has come out with their own feline dental dry food too and it comes in a light pink bag and also has nice big kibbles.
OOPS - mine was Medi-Cal too! When you said Pink Bag, I caught my error!![]()

All of my cats are on grain free diets so I give them Vita Kitty treats every now and then and they love them. They also come with glucosamine in them and these are called Happy Hips. Here's the link:http://www.catswell.com/?title=VitaKitty.
Well - since I reacted to a "fancy" treat, my human decided to try an "ordinary" dental treat. She got some Meow Mix Crustacean Crunch five days ago, and it's delicious! Doesn't seem to be making me itch so far, either. It makes me BEG, though! She finally sort of half gave in and gave me a C.E.T. fish chew, to see if I'd give them another try. You know, they really are yummy! So I'm healing up, my breath is nice and fresh, and I'm getting TWO new treats! (Plus my liquid treat, that yummy gooey Vitamin E - oh, dear, you're all going to think I'm spoiled or something...)
Prrrrrr, Smudge
Spoiled? No, because he officially doesn't like his Kitty Massages (getting hydrocortisone rubbed into his bald spots), although lately he occasionally even purrs while he suffers through them. -C
