When I worked at the shelter a man brought in 2 snow shoe siamese kittens, cleaned, smelled good, not a flea or any dirt on them, tame and loveable, said he had found them on the side of the road and couldn't keep them... He had brought some in the year before with a different story.

Had another one that suddenly the child was allergic to, one "I'm getting married and he don't like cats"... They had a call of a stray cat in someones back yard that was under a bush and could we send someone out to get it. It was brought back to the shelter and in examining it, the shelter person got so mad started crying. This poor old cat was blind and in liver failure and so filled up with fluid that she couldn't move. There was no way that cat was a stray....
