She is pretty. The ONLY way to house female bettas together is if you have at least 4-6 of them in a 10 gallon tank.

    congratulations! she is gorgeous.

they only sell veiltails at my local petshop, and the girls have dull colours, unlike Belle and Mrs Potts.

    thanks k9krazee for the signature!

I kept two females in a two gallon tank for a few years until one of them died. I never saw them fight.

Not necessarily true. It depends on the specific Bettas. Several of people I know have been able to house 2-3 Bettas happily.

Yes sometimes it works out with 2 but usually 2 will rip each other apart. The best way is to have at least four to spread out the aggression. Also the tank needs to have lots and lots of hiding places for them to get away from each other if needed.

Just making sure. I haven't tried a sorority myself yet but i'm going to try one soon. I have 2 females now and I'm getting 2 more in the mail next week so I think I will try it out with them.

I would never attempt less then four females together. I had 8 girls together very well in a well planted 20 gallon. Only two are left now but I am getting guppies soon =)

    Your girlie is pretty!
