Bobby has to have prescription food: IVD, Venison and Green Pea kibble. I get the cans as well and give him one about once per week.

The rest of the crew are on Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul kibble. They get moist food added about once per week. That could be Nutro desserts, or a pouch, a can (half per bowl, so with luck half a can per cat).

Treats: What ever I offer seems to go! Temptations, Pounce, bits of boiled chicken breast, anything else I come across. I do not give treats regularly, maybe once per week if I think of it.

Max has a full bowl of Medi Cal Reduced Protein dry at all times. At night he inhales one small can of Fancy Feast.

About 3 or 4 times a week I give him some special treats - Wiskas Temptations Chicken or Hairball formula. I do have some Pounce treats but have stopped giving them because he gets the "runs" from them.

Dry: Hill's Dental formula. They were on Royal Canin SD (or whatever the urinary stuff is), but needed to lose some weight. Hill's Dental does the weight, teeth, and crystals.

Wet - Royal Canin; 1/8 can each in the morning. Doesn't sound like a lot, but when it's mixed with a bit of warm water (in a hot water preheated bowl, ditto for the serving bowls ) and the Omega 3-6 is added, it makes a nice appetizer before they dig into the kibble!

Treats - two Medi-cal treats in the AM, Greenies 2 - 4 when I get home/late afternoon. Oscar also loves plain yogurt as a treat. I grow my own cat grass, and love watching my 'little cows' graze on it!

Since Scooter Bug is so finicky (if he doesn't like his food or is tired of it, he throws it up for me to find)... right now all my kitties are eating a grocery store bought brand "The GoodLife Recipe". They all 3 love it. They still get their fancy feast (canned food, ooooh! yumm) and their pit-r-pat treats every so often but until Scooter Bug starts puking this food up, I'll stick with it.

(He's always done this, it's not a new thing...)

I will miss you forever, my sweet Scooter Bug. You were my best friend. 9/21/1995 - 1/23/2010
Goodbye, Oreo. Gone too soon. 4/2003 - 9/12/2011.
Farewell & Godspeed, sweet Jadie Francine. You took a piece of my heart with you. 11/2002 - 8/8/2016

Just got the free sample of Greenies dental treats I requested from greenies.com - Smudge definitely likes them, so he'll be getting those as treats too. I used to give him C.E.T. treats to clean his teeth, but then he abruptly decided he didn't like them. Cats! They're like New England weather. (He even looks like a little storm cloud, in an oddly calm and peaceful way...)

My cats have been eating dry kibble made by WELLNESS and it is the HEALTHYWISE kibble that is supposed to be lower in calories. The wet food is a variety of different kinds to keep things interesting and I give it in the evening as a treat.
    But....I just changed things yesterday.
I've been googling about Irritable Bowel Disease, something one of my cats has and found that a cat food made by EAGLE PACK with duck and oatmeal is helpful with this. I picked up a bag and a few cans and every single one of my cats LOVES IT!! I'm hoping it will help my cat George too, who is allergic to so many ingredients that are not in this food.
I've decided that the way I'm going to off set the price of the food ($27.99 for a 6.6 pound bag) is to stop free feeding them and just give them a small bowlful each in the a.m. and p.m. with a teaspoon of wet for a treat which I hope will also help my cats Paddy and George who are obese. I might even save money this way!

I feed them Purina Cat Chow, but sometimes will buy different varieties, such as Indoor Cat Formula and mix together with regular. I had bought a cheaper brand awhile back and none of the cats would eat it - they also ate around it when I mixed together. I have bought Purina Kitten Chow lately for the kittens, but the big cats end up eating most of it.

Since Starr was diagnosed with colitis/IBD/food allergy problems I now have to feed all of my cats grain free diets. They eat Innova Evo wet and dry and I also mix in some Evangers Turkey & Butternut Squash Dinner in with the Innova Evo wet food for added fiber. I've noticed that they all seem to feel much better now and they're much more active too. All of their coats are so soft and shiny too.

They also get some Vitakitty chicken breast treats a few times a week. These are also grain free and have nothing in them that will affect Starr's tummy. They're also high in fiber. The food may cost more but I'm glad that I switched because I want them to remain happy and healthy for many more years to come.
