I know I love this one. If I was there, I would make the raccoon his own little dish!

I used to hand feed opossums at the old house. I sure miss them alot

    Thank you so much Michelle!

EEEEK!!! You hand fed opossums?! Yikes! Those suckers are so freaky looking, lol! I remember seeing them up at my mom and dad's on the farm, and I do not miss those suckers! I was never a big fan of ground hogs either... I got chased down a back road by one of them when I was about 14! My dad and uncle thought it was protecting young in the marshy area by where I was walking. Not sure, but it was snarling and it ran faster than I ever thought possible. I still walk in the middle of the road when I go up there!

When I used to live in S.C. we would go to Hunting Island every summer and rent a house and there were many racoons around. They would come up to the screened in porch and we would hand feed them. One time there was a mother with her babies. I wasn't ever afraid of them. We were told to never leave any food on the porch because if we did they'd rip through the screen to get to it. They'd also try to get into the garbage cans.

Raccoons are mostly nocturnal and when I see one during the day, I'm concerned that it might be rabid. Raccoons can badly injure or even kill a cat and, though I would never purposely harm one, I would definitely discourage it from coming into my yard, especially if I had outdoor cats. It's a cute video, though.
    Blessings,

Oh gosh that is so adorable.

We have raccoons come around our area now and then and even skunks and from what people have told us, they get along great with the outdoor cats.
I guess as long as they don't feel threatened, they're okay.

Tigris watched it and complained: How can you two be laughing when someone steals kitty food

Isn't that amazing! Smart racoon. LOL! The cat seems to be only half hearted protecting his food, and it looks as if he is saying to his mom: Do something about this intruder, don't just stand there filming!!

I'm glad none of them wasn't seriously injured.
