- Why did you marry in church? The reason we married in the first place is we believe that God wants man and woman to marry...otherwise, we would have just lived together, but we feel God wants man/woman to be in a union of marriage with Him as head of this union. So we married in a church b/c it is a place of God, a place of worship...so it only made sense!
